Bigeye Tuna

A epipelagic and mesopelagic species that that likes surface waters of 16 to 19 Celsius or 60 to 66 Fahrenheit. Spawning in 24 Celsius or 75 Fahrenheit sea surface temperatures and female produce two to three million eggs. Can also swim for periods of time in waters of 13 to 25 Celsius or 55 to 77 Fahrenheit temperatures. Maturity is at about 90 Centimeters or 35 inches weighing up to 35kg with a life span of 13 years. Feeds on Paralepidids, Crustaceans, Hyperidean amphipods, Phrosina semilunata, Paralepis speciosa and cephalopods.
